Table A(cont'd): Selected Characteristics of Active Local Chiropractors Enumerated in Health Manpower Survey by Survey Year (1996 - 2024) In the 2009 Health Manpower Survey, 114 chiropractors were covered and 80 active chiropractors were enumerated. Among the 80 active chiropractors enumerated, 55 were male and 25 were female. Their sex ratio was 220 male active chiropractors enumerated per 100 female active chiropractors enumerated. Their mean age was 42.7 and median age was 40.5. All the 80 active chirpractors enumerated worked in the private sector. In the 2012 Health Manpower Survey, 168 chiropractors were covered and 93 active chiropractors were enumerated. Among the 93 active chiropractors enumerated, two chiropractors did not indicate gender. Of the remaining 91 active chiropractors enumerated, 66 were male and 25 were female. Their sex ratio was 264 male active chiropractors enumerated per 100 female active chiropractors enumerated. Their mean age was 42.3 and median age was 40.0. All the 93 active chirpractors enumerated worked in the private sector. In the 2015 Health Manpower Survey, 193 chiropractors were covered and 98 active chiropractors were enumerated. Among the 98 active chiropractors enumerated, 69 were male and 29 were female. Their sex ratio was 238 male active chiropractors enumerated per 100 female active chiropractors enumerated. Their mean age was 43.9 and median age was 41.0. All the 98 active chirpractors enumerated worked in the private sector. In the 2018 Health Manpower Survey, 229 chiropractors were covered and 113 active chiropractors were enumerated. Among the 113 active chiropractors enumerated, 79 were male and 34 were female. Their sex ratio was 232 male active chiropractors enumerated per 100 female active chiropractors enumerated. Their mean age was 42.9 and median age was 41.0. All the 113 active chirpractors enumerated worked in the private sector. In the 2018 Health Manpower Survey, 229 chiropractors were covered and 113 active chiropractors were enumerated. Among the 113 active chiropractors enumerated, 79 were male and 34 were female. Their sex ratio was 232 male active chiropractors enumerated per 100 female active chiropractors enumerated. Their mean age was 42.9 and median age was 41.0. All the 113 active chirpractors enumerated worked in the private sector. In the 2024 Health Manpower Survey, 329 chiropractors were covered and 145 active chiropractors were enumerated. Among the 145 active chiropractors enumerated, four chiropractors did not indicate gender. Of the remaining 143 active chiropractors enumerated, 97 were male and 44 were female. Their sex ratio was 221 male active chiropractors enumerated per 100 female active chiropractors enumerated. Their mean age was 41.8 and median age was 40.0. Among the 145 active chiropractors enumerated, one chiropractors did not indicate their sector of work, the remaining 144 active chiropractors enumerated worked in the private sector. Notes: 1. Figures of 1996 and 2000 refer to the number of chiropractors reported by the responding institutions as at 1 July of the respective years, whereas the figures of 2004 to 2007, 2009, 2012, 2015 and 2018 refer to the number of chiropractors registered with the Chiropractors Council as at 31 August of the respective years. Figures of 2024 refers to the number of chiropractors registered with the Chiropractors Council as at 30 September 2024. 2.
